Collaborative Vocational Evaluations

I offer collaborative vocational evaluations for adults seeking clarity regarding their career goals, their vocational calling, and their personal strengths and skills.
Evaluations are a useful tool when you are navigating job transition, are unhappy in your current line of work, or are just trying to figure out where to go next. Evaluations can be combined with several sessions of coaching or therapy to help you work through fears that hold you back and mobilize yourself to make positive changes.
I also offer vocational evaluations for ministers who need an assessment to meet requirements for ordination. While evaluations are required for most ministers, I do my best to make the process both useful and transformative for you, and see it as an opportunity for you to explore your calling, deepen your commitment, and mobilize your unique gifts in service of your ministry.

What will we do in a vocational evaluation?
Evaluations involve meeting with me for a total of 5-6 hours during two different sessions, and they include the completion of a report you will get to take home with you. Before we meet, I will likely ask you to fill out some forms that will help me understand you and your goals better.
During our first meeting (a long one!) of about 4 hours, I will invite you to take a variety of psychological and vocational tests, and I will ask you detailed questions regarding your history, values, aspirations, and goals. You will, of course, have the opportunity to ask me any questions that come up for you about what we're doing and why we're doing it! I will then do my best to integrate the information into a report discussing your strengths, challenges, potential career fit, and reflections on your calling.
We will then meet together one more time (for 1-2 hours) so I can give you your report and we can review and discuss together what these reflections mean for you on your vocational quest. If you wish, you can meet with me for follow-up sessions to help you gain greater clarity and mobilize change.
